It's been SUCH a long time since I wrote in here, but hear me out. Trying to obtain my dream bedroom has not been an easy task so far. I tried building it again a couple of weeks back, but it was the same as what happened last time - paint and boards everywhere and a few nails stuck in my hand. Dad was insistent on helping as well and he came out of it in the same way that I did.
What I really need is the money. It would mean that I could hire a professional builder to work on it or I could get fancier tools and equipment so that it doesn't look as messy. I would also be able to acquire the furniture I need in order to make it a proper place to live in.
I've made a list of ways to raise money for the room:
- Do more chores around the place. (On the downside, Mom and Dad are kinda cheapskates when it comes to this stuff, especially if what Jocelyn says about Dad is any indication.)
- Set up a milkshake store (kinda like a lemonade stand) and get my mates to help out with it. We could make all sorts of fancy milkshakes for people to try out. (On the downside, my mates would want some of the money too, ESPECIALLY if we're talking about Lottie here.)
- Sign up for a part-time job. A full-time job would just take up too much of my time. (On the downside, even part-time ones cut into your time and I wouldn't have any idea what to sign up for.)
- Become some sort of gladiator in an arena, where the winner gains money. (On the downside, the only fighting arena I know of in the country is Marshall's, and I think he only accepts pop culture characters.)
- When all else fails, rob a bank. I mean, considering that everyone seems to know about the business with Kinsey, it's not like it will have too much of a further effect on my rep, right? (On the downside, I need to find an accomplice. My mates would pretty much say no and Dad's too busy with other stuff.)
Dad's starting work again, so that's good for him. I could potentially see if I could get a job at his place, but as I said, I don't know whether it would cut into my time or not.
Honestly, I have no idea how all of this is going to work. Maybe I could discuss it all with my mates and see what they think. Maybe even get Steve's opinion on it. That would be pretty cool, right? ^_^
Anyway, I've set a deadline for myself. Either get it done by the end of this year, or I have to fulfill some end of a bargain. Now I just need to find something to motivate myself. Something that will really make me get on with it.
