But seriously, what was I even thinking?

The inspiration for this came from an exhibition at the Barbican Centre that my dad took me to, which was focused on emo culture in the 2000s. My dad himself, not being associated with the emo scene in any way, didn’t think it was as good as the two-tone music exhibition that we had visited at the same place beforehand, but I’ve always had an interest in sub-cultures so I had a good time looking round. One of the highlights was a Memory Wall which essentially served as a mood board for the whole community, and I was delighted to notice that somebody had drawn fan art of the infamous Enoby Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way from My Immortal AND written the first paragraph from the fanfic down. Quite a few other people got excited when they saw that.

Why Discord, you may ask? It was the most absurd choice of character to cosplay as Enoby in my mind, that's why. ^_^

For this image, I also rewrote one of my favourite sections from the fanfic behind Discord, making the appropriate edits so that it would link with Discord as well as cutting out a few sentences. And in case you're wondering, yes, the nerdy 20-something womanchild is me. X)

I was torn between keeping the original f-word in or censoring it, especially since I do swear in real life (NEVER the c-word though). Ultimately, I censored it because (1) I felt weird using swearwords on My Little Pony fan art and (2) it just seemed funnier.
