Dynamite's Diary - 11th July 2022

School's out! Now I get to enjoy the sun and spend even more quality times with my buds without worrying about schoolwork and all that garbage. Well okay, we've been given one of those "summer projects" to do, but that can wait.

Friday afternoon was crazy. We just rushed wildly out of the gates as soon as the bell ran. We were just that ready for summer vacation. Gemma in particular was running about and cheering and whooping - I'm pretty sure I saw her almost crush Mr. Rushden in the frenzy as she reached the gates.

Anyway, the fight that I was supposed to be taking part in this week has been delayed to next week, so I've had some time to practice more for it for the past few days. I've been carrying some heavy items around to improve my strength and running laps round the area to improve my speed. And of course I'm brushing up on my martial arts skills.

I needed a bit more though. So I asked Dad if he could give me pointers today. And what does he do? He puts me through one of the most hellish training sessions I've ever had. First I had to carry sixteen metal slabs whilst running round the nearby lake. Then I had to do another sparring session with him, which of course he bested me in again. Then I had to climb up one of the tallest trees nearby and then leap down with a parachute. And THEN I had to fight some robotic suit of armor that Dad had sneaked out of Wiz's lab apparently. Sure, I did better in that particular fight, but it almost took my arm off in the process.

And do you know what Dad said afterwards? "Great! Now let's do it again this afternoon!" The nerve he had! At least he gave me a good hamburger lunch afterwards.

And of course my buds and I have found the time to sell our milkshakes and smoothies. We're making a really good profit on them so far. In fact, we only had one unsold milkshake by the end of today. I had that one myself. I really needed it after the training session I had today. Top secret note - I actually snook out of the afternoon training session so I could get on with the sales.

Hopefully Dad's training does pay off for next week. I'd really hate it if I'd had to go through all that nonsense for nothing. Wonder it the opponent I'm up against went through the same thing as well.
