Dynamite's Diary - 25th October 2022

I have some good news and bad news to write down.

The good news is that I aced last week's fight. It was actually a lot easier than I expected - I was up against this other martial artist, and I was the only one with explosives. Boom, easy win. Now it means that I get to go to the semi-finals, and therefore one step closer to the grand prize! :D

The bad news is a certain fighter by the name of Malisica.

Malisica is the WORST. She's this attractive blonde young woman with an eyepatch and a blade for a substitute hand. Rumor has it that she looked even more beautiful back in high school, but something happened that damaged her looks and has future chances as a supermodel. I guess that's why she's super surly for now, even if the same rumors claim that she was the ultimate high school tyrant. She actually makes Kinsey seem reasonable with her attitude.

Before I entered the ring, she just kept glaring at my outfit as if there was something filthy on it. And then felt the need to comment on it as if she was some sort of elitist fashion critic.

"Urgh, what kind of outfit is that?! Let me guess? You found it in a garbage dump?!"

"Well, what kind of name is Malisica?" I snarked back.

"Hey, at least it's better than being called Dynamite. What a dumb codename."

"It's my real name. Okay? Stop talking shit." I could have said more in return to her, but I had to hurry into the arena itself.

And then when I exited the arena after my victory, she didn't congratulate me at all. Instead, she just crossed her arms, glared at me and muttered "tramp".

Boy, I could have throttled her at that point! But there's a rule in Xtreme's arena that fighters aren't allowed to attack each other outside the ring, otherwise they'll be disqualified. And I REALLY need that money.

It didn't help that Malisica apparently aced her own fight this week against one of the strongest competitors in the tournament. So now she's going into the semi-finals too, with a final chance to make it to the finals as well. At least I wasn't there at the time - we would have just been sniping at each other again.

Other people say that Malisica is a really good fighter. She shows no mercy towards her opponents and some have even been crippled for the rest of their lives. Apparently, only one person has been able to defeat her, but that was a long time ago before she fought in the ring. There are even claims that it's the same person who disfigured her.

There are two ideal outcomes for this situation. Either Malisica gets utterly wrecked in her next fight, or she makes it to the final and I get to thrash her there. Either way, she really seems like the type that needs knocking down a peg or two.
