Boomstick As Obelix

I'm back! I've spent some time away from my blogs for a while due to balancing both work and sorting out my mental health, but I'm finally managing to do a couple of posts before the end of the year - this is one of them.

As the Asterix series is sixty years old this year and the fortieth book was released this autumn, I decided to celebrate a little bit by doing some fan art. Being a major fan of both Death Battle! and Asterix, I have chosen to draw my favourite Death Battle character Boomstick dressed up as my favourite Asterix character Obelix.

I also made sure to cover up Boomstick's midriff with the trousers, similar to how they cover up Obelix's.

When you think about it, Boomstick and Obelix are pretty similar. They both have moustaches, they both love food and drink, they both adore a good fight, they both have their emotional and hot-blooded sides and they are both...um, top heavy, to put it lightly. The main difference is that Obelix is an outright cinnamon roll while Boomstick is a trigger-happy nutcase. It would be very fascinating if they both met up with each other in the Death Battle series at some point. X)

With regard to Obelix potentially appearing in Death Battle as a combatant, I would like to see him go up against either Captain Underpants from the franchise of the same name or Murray Hippo from the Sly Cooper video games. Either way, I think he'd make for a really enjoyable choice.
